Abhi joined Gunning Young Barristers & Solicitors as a Law Clerk in 2020 and since his admission in 2021, he now works for the firm as a junior solicitor. He has previously interned at a community legal centre, working in the field of Disability Discrimination law and a family law firm in Perth. Abhi completed his schooling in Perth and graduated from the University of Western Australia with a Bachelor of Commerce in 2015. He then moved to Canberra for Juris Doctor degree at the Australian National University, which he completed at the end of 2019. It is during his time at law school, where he developed a passion for criminal law and the Australian criminal legal system. Abhi is a West-Australian sports tragic and aspires to one day adopt a German Shepherd puppy, although does not yet consider himself ready.
Shannon joined Gunning Young Barristers & Solicitors in July 2021 as Legal Secretary. Shannon has over five years of administration experience including roles as an administration assistant and executive assistant. After completing a Bachelor of Criminology, Shannon commenced work supporting the Commissioner and then Minister for Corrective Services. She has always had an interest in the criminal justice system and is eager to pursue a career in the legal industry. Shannon prides herself on providing outstanding service to our clients and keeping the office organised. In her spare time Shannon enjoys baking sweets, catching up with friends and spending time with her cat, Alaska.
Fraser has been with Gunning Young Barristers & Solicitors since February 2019 and is the paralegal and accountant. He is currently in his penultimate year of the Juris Doctor at the University of Western Australia after previously completing a Bachelor of Commerce majoring in Economics and Finance. Fraser was born in Perth however spent most of his early childhood growing up in Asia before graduating from Scotch College in 2016. Fraser has previously worked as an administration assistant at a boutique family law firm, as a swimming instructor and as a tutor. In his spare time, Fraser volunteers on the executive team at WAUC, a management consulting charity, providing pro-bono consulting services to WA Not-For-Profits. Further, Fraser plays E-Grade football for Mosman Park Football Club, Social Ultimate Frisbee for UWA and is a long-suffering Fremantle Dockers supporter.
Hollee Jones-Morris works with the firm on a casual basis in an administrative assistant / personal assistant role to Mr Mark Gunning. She holds a Certificate IV in business and is currently pursuing a Bachelor of Psychology and Addiction Studies with an ambition to become enrolled as a Clinical Psychologist with the Psychology Board of Australia. Hollee started as a work experience student in 2018 while she was in high school and was retained as a staff member ever since. Her smile, positive attitude and client relation skills are valued by all members of the firm. Hollee values her experience at Gunning Young Barristers and Solicitors and her work is focused on organising and managing the firm at an administrative level. Outside of work and study Hollee loves four-wheel driving, dancing and spending time with her new puppy, Cherry.
